Founded in 2010, Kings County Distillery is NYC’s first distillery since prohibition & is located in the Paymaster Building at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. Using New York State grown corn & grain, wooden fermenters built locally by Isseks Brothers & traditional copper Alembic Pot Stills they produce an array of Whiskey’s that includes Straight Bourbon, Peated Bourbon, Moonshine, Chocolate Whiskey & their ‘Barrel Strength’ Bourbon, which is sourced from barrels aged anywhere from 2 to 5+ years old & averages between 116-128 proof depending on the batch. This a delicious whiskey, surprisingly smooth yet bold, with an intensely rich, sweet nose of cornflakes, fenugreek, clove, & tobacco.
