Kris Curran has a love of Spanish varietals & she has been championing Grenache Blanc since 2003 on her personal label ‘Curran’ that she founded in 1997. Precisely made, in a modern, lean style, it’s fermented & aged in stainless & does not go through malo, retaining a crisp acidic backbone & bright fruit characteristics. A nose of quince, under ripe peach, green melon, whiffs of white flowers & lemon zest, lead you into this refreshingly bone dry Grenache Blanc. Yet it also has a lovely roundness of palate & waves of plentiful lush fruit echoing the nose with added hints of tropical guava & banana.
