Terenzuola ‘Permano’ Colli di Luni Bianco Tuscany Italy 2016

Located where the Alps meet the Mediterranean, in the extreme northern part of coastal Tuscany overlapping into the southeastern corner of Liguria is where you’ll find the Colli di Luni DOC. Terenzuola are organically farming these precipitous vineyards & practice minimal intervention in the winery. The ‘Permano’ is from old vines comprised of 50% Vermentino & 50% a field blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia. Albarola, Albana, Durella, Verdello. It sees 20 day skin maceration & sits on it’s lees for 8 months in stainless steel before finishing in bottle for 6 months. Rich, with bright beautiful floral aromatics, this mineral driven, salty, full bodied white shows hints of pink peppercorn & dried herbs. Saline on the plush, round palate that’s flooded with tart grapefruit zest, kumquat, ripe peach & pineapple core, finishing long with pleasant grip, acid+, minerality & savory, peppery herbs.
